What to do?
While you are here at Walter RC Park you may want to:
- All dogs must be leashed at all times!
- Fly R.C. Airplanes from our 600ft. grass runway
- Small Electric airplanes have a 300ft fabric runway available.
- Race on our offroad and oval track
- The rock crawler obstacle course is available.
- Drive your Crawlers at the new Sugar Bush Trails.
- Run your Heli on our Made for Heli site
- Other areas are for Gliders and Sailplanes ,U-Control
- Food and water is available on site. Portable Rest Areas are clean and well maintained. Camping is primitive with no hookups.
- Rustic camping with limited electric at $10 per day.
- Non-Member Fee of $5 dollar per day, per user – Sign in upon Arrival at designated areas.
Pilot Guidelines
- All Pilots must hold an AMA Number and be registered with FAA to fly any model aircraft
- When tuning electric aircrafts, remove all props from aircraft before applying power of any type. This includes planes, helicopters, and multirotors.
- Fly below 400 feet and remain clear of surrounding obstacles
- Keep the aircraft within visual line of sight at all times
- Remain well clear of and do not interfere with manned aircraft operations
- Don’t fly within 5 miles of an airport unless you contact the airport and control tower before flying
- Don’t fly near people or stadiums
- Don’t fly an aircraft that weighs more than 55 lbs
- Don’t be careless or reckless with your unmanned aircraft – you could be fined for endangering people or other aircraft
Race Track Guidelines
- General Use
- Always sign in before using the Race Tracks
- No driving models on the farm drive or in parking lot areas
- Charge batteries using typical battery charging safety at provided power locations.
- Oval Track
- 2 Cell only models on Oval Track
- Hobby Type tires not allowed. Street/Smooth Tires only.
- No bashing
- Do not use while wet
- Off Road Track
- Any Style Car/Truck/Buggy
- Any Scale not exceeding 1/8 scale
Tiny Truck Guidelines
- Crawler Courses
- Crawler style trucks ranging from 1/10 to 1/24 allowed on course
- Trail driving available in woods when road to location is open
- during wet conditions, please walk from tool shed area to trails course area
- Basher Truck Area
- Open year around
- Drive safe-No size limit
- Drive Safely
